2009 Jacobs Creek Grenache Shiraz
Tuesday, September 7, 2010 at 3:58PM This is an ideal quaffing style: it’s light and bright, with lifted ripe red cherry aromas, juicy strawberry, redcurrant and macerated red cherry flavours, is soft, round and delightfully easy drinking. Just the gentlest of grips enhances its gluggability.
Here is a good example of what quaffing good wine is. There's heaps of flavour and easy drinkability. And it is readily available. It's way up the chart in our list of Quaff 2011's Top 20 wines.
(Aside) I've just checked with Steph Little's pr release and Quaff 2011 will be available on 1st October. To quote Dylan Thomas out of context, let's hope 'all the bells of the tills of the town will ring' as anxious wine lovers grab their copy of the new edition.
Rating: Bloody Good
Cost: $ 11.50
