2008 Sandalford 'Element' Shiraz Cabernet

Sandalford has become one of the most reliable and best of Western Australia's wineries over the past five years. Chief Winemaker, Paul Boulden, has a strong team taking advantage of a rush of good vintages. The 'Element' series is largely sourced from the Swan Valley and this is an absolute ripper. The 2008 Sandalford 'Element' Shiraz Cabernet has attractive bright aromatics with a hint of rose petal, ripe, sweet intense mulberry and dark plum flavours that are rich and concentrated. There's an alluring juiciness, velvety texture and soft, ripe tannins to provide an approachable finish.

Remember the Quaff mantra – cheap wine is only good value when the quality is there. This is excellent value for money and a Bloody Good red.
