2009 Annie's Lane Riesling

This zesty riesling came up brilliantly at one of my recent new-release tastings. I loved it and each of the five panel members tasting with me rated it, at least, a high silver medal. This is a rare occurence. It's sourced, as ever, from the Clare Valley in an excellent vintage for riesling, is wonderfully floral with a hint of peach blossom and some perfumed lime notes, has powerful, intense lime zest flavours and a crisp, dry finish of considerable length. I'd drink it while it's fresh and youthful, though it should develop some impressive mature characters with bottle age.
