Banrock Station Sparkling Pinot Noir Chardonnay

The most consistent budget-priced bubbly of the past six years, the Banrock Station bubby remains impressive. There was a slight whiff of confectionery on the nose when it was first opened but that blew off. Other than that it's very much in the style we've come to expect: fresh, clean and lively, soft and round in the middle palate, light and fine with creamy texture before a gentle easy-drinking finish with some noticeable sweetness.
